While upgrading from SQL Server 2008 and MDS 2008 to the 2016 versions of each, I have implemented a two-server configuration with the databases on one server and the MDS and any related applications on a second server.
Currently the two test servers are built one for databases and one for applications.
1) Is it a viable option to host the application and databases related to Master data Services on two different servers?
2) While trying to host the websites from the application server, we are able to select the databases from the database server but are unable to access the URL.
Kindly help on configuring the same if not please provide us with alternate options.
