I am running multiple instances of MDS which are successfully providing data to downstream applications via subscription views. There is a question raised from the IT department regarding the long term road map for the format and use of subscription views.
They are afraid that if future releases of SQL Server MDS substantially change the way that subscription views work that there could be massive effects on downstream applications which will need to update their code which selects data from these views. As
far as I'm concerned this is not of concern as it would not make sense for Microsoft to radically change the way that MDS exposes data to downstream applications. Can someone confirm my point of view?
