Is it possible to display an image (.jpeg, .bmp, .tif, .png, etc) in a leat attribute either in excel with the MS addin, or in the "Out-of-the-box" Web application?

I have a product entity.  One of the attributes is an image of the product.  The user would like to see the picture displayed in either the excel (with the MDS addin), or in the  "Out-of-the-box" Web application.  Is this possible? I am currently storing the image as a file attribute.
