The MSDN Arcticle Database Logins, Users, and Roles (Master Data Services) discusses the MDS principals generated when installing MDS but doesn't mention the SQL Server authentication method required for MDS. Does the SQL Server authentication need to be mixed mode in order for MDS to function properly?
The principals created when installing MDS are clearly SQL Server principals rather than domain based principals but do they work similarly to the ## server principals in that they don't require mixed mode authentication to function? I have not been able to find any information on the SQL Server security requirements for these users. Any information would be helpful.
