How to delete attribute without using MDS UI.

Hello,

To delete an attribute from MDS UI is simple task as mentioned in  "https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ff487063.aspx". But I am facing issue while doing this.

So I am looking into other options to delete the attribute.

Is there any other way to delete attribute from MDM but not using MDS UI?

As well as , when deleting attribute using MDS UI, what process does this UI follows in background to delete and which are all system entities are involved in this process?

Please do reply. Your help is much appreciated.
