Automating "Start Batches" in MDS

Hello,

I have MDS 2014 installed on SQL Server 2014(SP1-CU5) in a Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter environment. I have an SSIS package which automates pulling data from the source system into MDS. This is working fine with two exceptions:

1) The batch is being created but does not run unless I go through the Web UI and click the "Start Batches" button. There must be a way to automate this?

2) The task I am using to Validate works fine. However, when I run the whole package it does not perform the Validation. If I manually execute that task later, it works. Is this a timing issue?

I have the Staging batch interval set to 60 second in the MDS Configuration Manger.
