Hi,
I need to analyze a scenario as the following one:
more heterogeneous source systems have the own no transactional business entities (e.g. customers, products, contracts, etc.) but it occurs to ensure the quality of these data. In order to ensure the data consistency, it is necessary to produce an unique hub entity from the all source entities; so, I need to obtain an unique customers entity, an unique products entity and so on. The resulting set of certified hub entities must allows to suggest the data adjustments on to the source systems or to apply the necessary data corrections on to the source systems. In such context, it seems that the source systems maintain the SOE role and the master data management system the SOR role, first the DQS technology allows to ensure the data quality for each business entity of the corresponding source system and then the MDS technology permits to manage the resulting master data and to align data across source systems.
As a further step, the master data database could represent the certified data source to the underlying data warehouses, data marts and reporting systems.
Well, I'm searching a paper and/or a ppt to describe this scenario in an high level manner to show to the management people.
Any helps to me, please? Many thanks
