MDS newbie here - and IIS newbie too.
I've gotten a Windows Server 2012R2 VM set up with IIS role and features installed. I installed SQL 2014 Database and MDS. I then backed up a 2008R2 MDS database from production, restored on this VM, and configured (and upgraded) the MDS database. Using a browser on-machine or off-machine, I can navigate to the default MDS page, see my list of models, and Browse the current model (let's call this model "D").
However, if I change the model - selecting model "B" from the dropdown, then Explore... I end up "exploring" model "D". I have not been able to browse any other model than "D" - and I'm not even sure how MDS picked model "D" in the first place, because it's not the first model (alphabetically).
I don't know what questions to ask, or information to provide to start diagnosing this issue... please help, and assume that I know absolutely nothing about MDS or IIS - I'm a data warehousing guy that hasn't been into these products before...
