We upgraded our MDS instance from 2008R2 to 2014, and one of the artifacts that didn't get upgraded were attribute groups. I am assuming this isn't a problem with the upgrade itself, it's just one of those features that Microsoft chose not to upgrade in their scripts.
I am attempting to add the attributes back using the Attribute Group Maintenance screen, but it's there that I'm running into a problem. I was able to create the first group and assign attributes to it just fine. However, I can't seem to add any more attribute groups. When I try to add a group that has the name I want (which used to exist in 2008R2), MDS responds with "The name already exists. Type a different name."
I can't see the pre-upgrade attribute groups anywhere - but then, I'm relatively new to MDS and may not be looking in the right spots...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
